🌿🧪 Honors Biology Field Trip to the Nueces Delta Preserve! 🧪🌿 Our Honors Biology students had an amazing opportunity to take their learning outdoors with a hands-on visit to the Nueces Delta Preserve! 🌎✨ Students rotated through a variety of stations, diving deep into topics like symbiosis and invasive species during a nature hike, fishing in the bayou ecosystem, bird watching, exploring halophyte plants, studying pond food webs, and even observing microscopic adaptations under the lens. 🔬🐟🦅 It was a day full of exploration, discovery, and bringing ecology lessons to life! Community in Action at Carroll! 🧡🍎🤝 Shoutout to CYD YAC and Communities In Schools (CIS) for teaming up with our amazing social worker, Mrs. Trainer, to host a successful food distribution event in partnership with the Coastal Bend Food Bank right here at Mary Carroll High School! 🐾🏫 Thanks to everyone's hard work and heart, we were able to help 75 families — a total of 307 individuals! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🛒 The turnout was incredible, and the need was so great that we ran out of food! A HUGE thank you to our YAC, CYD, and CIS students and staff for your time, teamwork, and compassion.
